This game is not ready to be released in its current state. It might be worth $1.99, but is certainly not worth $4.99.

So many levels, so many mysteries. I keep playing because you never know what youll find depending on the weather and time of day. If its raining where you are, its also raining in the game! Loved the first Spider, but this is so much better.

I knew I was bad with money but holy crap. Cant believe I spent $4.99 on this. Was expecting something better.

I bought this game because I loved the original. This might be good if I could get it to open. It is stuck on the opening title page and does not progress no matter what I try.

I have been playing this game nonstop for weeks. Things just keep popping up. I keep coming across new rooms, Easter eggs and secrets. ... For those who want to know what this game is about: there are two layers - one, you are a spider who builds webs and catches bugs. Its fun and can be really challenging at times due to heavier bugs and moving environments knocking down your web which you can only replenish by eating more bugs. Two, there is a mystery going on in the mansion you move around in that needs to be solved. As a spider you couldnt care more about the mystery. But as human its extremely enthralling. Clues, switches, hidden rooms, etc. are in every room. And its a blast to find them, especially when they involve new and unseen bugs. The soundtrack is killer and the hand drawn graphic are awesome. On top of that the levels change depending on the time of day and weather. For instance if its raining, different bugs will be available and different parts of the rooms will be open or closed, Ex: if its raining you cant crawl up certain walls or get up drain pipes, but something may be flooded to let you get into a new area not seen before. I cant rant more about this game. Its on point. Furthermore the mystery in the game extends into reality. You can research that yourself.... Happy hunting!

Boring

This has got to be one of those games the developer paid people to write 5 star reviews. Repeat.... Dont waste your money on this one, needs work and allot of it. The controls dont work that good, cant spin large webs, this was total waste. If I could give no star I would, but I can’t, HOW DO I GET MY MONEY BACK?????

Great game and was on my way to completing before losing everything when I updated to io9 on my iPad2. Beware!!!

Same basic mechanic and plot-discovery idea as before. More rooms to explore, now in elevation and floor plan modes. Bugs are trickier. Webs can collapse due to attacks of various kinds, and your spider can be attacked. The weather and day/night scenes are interesting flavors. The more clever insects are welcome as well. I like the elevation and floor plan views. Personally I dislike the spider and web attacks. This crosses over too much into a battle game, detracting from the puzzle-solving. The worst feature is that some puzzle(s) can only solved during specific weather and day/night modes. How many people have the freedom to play day and night? Or to be free to play when its raining? Theres a limited option to change to rainy weather but its only good once a week and for as long as you run the game. Quit to check mail or text someone and bam, you gotta wait another week. Im severely downgrading my rating due to this silliness.

USE ICLOUD FOR OUR SAVE DATA like any responsible dev. I just lost all progress due to having to restore as a new iPad. Since you dont save our progress in iCloud, Ive got a fresh install with no progress staring me in the face. Add it to the shelf of great but unfinished games that tried to make me start over for no good reason.

I loved the first spider, and still do. This sequel ought to be a joy and in many ways it is. The art is lovely and the playing field is much larger. There are more types of bugs to eat, some that fight back. And you get to hunt at night or in the rain and get a different set of bugs to trap. The story is really just suggested by the things you see while hunting, and there are lots of nooks tucked away for you to find. All this is very good. But the moon phase idea tho at the core of the game was a mistake. I think most players would like to be able to play through the whole game, finding all the insects, solving all the puzzles on their own schedule: no waiting on the moon. It really is no fun after a while. This is a shame cause there is so much to like

Great little sequel to a great game. Now please get busy on Waking Mars 2 already. That game was simply the best game Ive ever played on any platform.

Minus one star because some puzzles are only solvable on certain real-world calendar days. The game IS fun and it IS horror. It handles everything very subtly: from the frowning family pictures, to the handprints on the walls in the background and the chlorophyll in the foreground. Something wrong happened here and you are very much an unrelated observer to the aftermath.

If you enjoy games that challenge your wits, look no further. This game provides ample challenge for thoughtful minds. There are multiple layers of gameplay to engage. You can go for the top score. You can explore and piece together the many scattered clues and mysteries of the excellent in game story. Or you can go full monte and explore the real life secret society tied to the game, The Knights of the Buried Chambers. This metagame is NOT to be missed! No matter your approach, the art is gorgeous, the soundtrack is sublime, the gameplay is highly tuned, and the secrets -- oh the many secrets. Theyve caused me many sleepless nights wondering where to turn next. The asking price is a pittance for the mileage you can get out of this game. Do yourself a favor and get it!

Even though real jumping spiders dont build webs like that, the movement mechanisms are spot on. Its also great to see and learn about the other bugs featured in the game.

What other game can let you be a spider and eat bugs. Whats better is that you solve mysteries of the Blackbird estate. Its has a deep and great story

Amazing graphics and great interplay! More than a scratch-the-surface mystery...dig deeper and learn of a Secret Society. Several levels and varied plays available for different weather and moon phases. Cant get enough!

Love this game. But the update made it buggier.. No icon. Crashes whenever replay isattempted on temple lab ship. Have latest ios playing on ipad mini 2

Honestly I dont know what to say I mean it is a masterpiece art style is Gorgeous This is idea people tried to achieve correctly but this is the only one that got it right the controls are tight and natural (easy to memorize) The game itself. Is amazing I can recommend this to anyone weather your 5 or 92 get this its amazing

Im not one to get sucked in to a lot of games. However, this one is very beautiful and enjoyable!
